Why I'm tired this morning

These guys held Russian Comedy night at the bar last night, and they must have had about 150 people packed into our capacity-78 bar, sitting, standing, and taking their drinks outside. Cat (who is afraid of mice) stuck around to help me out for the worst of it, so she will be rewarded with many good things. I think they were funny. I heard "Pamela Anderson", "Britany Spears", and a series of jokes about driving (I suspect it was the russian translation of english bumper stickers like "How am I driving?") No word on whether airplane food made an appearance. The MIT Po-Po certainly did though, and I had to use the full extent of my "serious-and-earnest-pasty-white-boy-who-is-here-to-help-the-cops-do-their-job
and-has-no-idea-what-the-thirsty-ear's-capacity-is charm. Woo

I've bought snap traps, glue traps, and poison pellets, and the mouse poo still keeps appearing on the counter. I shall live in (rodent) filth no longer!

I'm going high tech now. I will report back in a few days.

This made me smile really big. It also reminded my of the Tuba Christmas concert they put on every year in my hometown.

Italy

 
I went to Italy this summer for a conference, and got to spend some time touring about Tuscany before the real fun got started. Here is a picture from Pisa. I took 9 or 10 shots of the leaning tower, but this is my favorite from the city. 

Summertime

Summer is a time for not posting to your blog and pursuing other avenues of expression and entertainment. However, its discovery by certain subversive elements in the government have reminded me that I ought to continue writing to this. Woo.
